Demo videos are low resolution, contain watermarks, text and music. The purchased, downloadable versions are 2K 1440p and are source files without watermarks, text and music. Contact us with your purchase details if you require 4K versions, which are shared using WeTransfer.

Media Licensing, Usage & Copyright

All photographs, images, video footage and other media displayed or offered for sale by 4KDrone remain the copyright and intellectual property of 4KDrone, unless expressly stated otherwise or agreed in writing.

What Your Purchase Allows

Purchase of an image, photograph or video grants the purchaser a limited licence to use that media for the editorial, news, publication or other purpose specified at the time of purchase.

Unless otherwise stated, a standard licence permits use by the purchasing individual or organisation for its own editorial or media purposes, including use by a newsdesk, newspaper, magazine, television broadcaster, digital publisher or website.

This may include publication, broadcast, online publication, social-media distribution associated with the original publication or news report, and reasonable promotional use directly connected with that publication.

Purchasing media does not transfer copyright or ownership of the original material.

Resale, Redistribution & Syndication

Unless specifically agreed in writing, purchased media may not be:

• resold or offered for resale;

• sublicensed to another person, publisher, broadcaster, agency or organisation;

• redistributed or supplied to third parties for their independent use;

• submitted to, incorporated into or sold through another stock photography, video or media licensing service;

• syndicated to other publishers or broadcasters for payment or other commercial benefit; or

• otherwise commercially exploited separately from the editorial, publication or broadcast purpose for which it was purchased.

A licence purchased by one organisation does not automatically give associated companies, partner organisations, clients, agencies or other third parties an independent right to use the material.

Additional, multi-publication, syndication or commercial licensing rights may be available by prior agreement with 4KDrone.

Copyright Remains With 4KDrone

Unless expressly transferred through a separate written copyright assignment, 4KDrone retains copyright in all purchased photographs, images and video footage.

Payment purchases a licence to use the material. It does not purchase the underlying copyright.

Copyright notices, watermarks, metadata or other ownership information must not be deliberately removed or altered except where removal is necessary for the normal authorised publication or broadcast of properly licensed material.

Exclusive & Sole Publication Rights

Exclusive or sole publication rights may be available for selected images and video footage by negotiation.

The scope, duration, territory, platform and nature of any exclusivity will be agreed separately in writing.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, the granting of exclusive or sole publication rights does not constitute a transfer of copyright. Copyright remains with 4KDrone.

Please contact us before purchase if exclusivity is required.

Unauthorised Use

Downloading, copying, reproducing, publishing, broadcasting, distributing or otherwise using 4KDrone media without purchasing the appropriate licence or obtaining prior written permission is prohibited.

4KDrone reserves all rights in relation to unauthorised reproduction, publication, redistribution, resale or commercial exploitation of its copyrighted material.

Need a Different Licence?

We recognise that publishers, broadcasters and news organisations may require different licensing arrangements depending upon how material will be used.

If you require syndication rights, multi-publication rights, extended commercial use, international distribution, exclusivity or sole publication rights, please contact us to discuss an appropriate licence.
